If you love nature, stop hydrofracking

To the editor:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s appreciation for the natural beauty of this area should serve him well when considering the possible disastrous impact of hydrofracking in other New York state regions.

Saying that he will base his decision on science and facts is commendable. One hard fact is that we may never know the true impact until it is too late.

Also, economic and political expediency will do little to protect our most vital natural resource.

We, who live in this protected region, must not ignore this critical statewide issue.
