Black and White Juried Art Show on now

LAKE PLACID – The “Black and White Juried Art Show: A Showcase of Regional Artists” will be on display at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts through Feb. 17 in the Fine Arts Gallery.

Admission is free.

The winners are:

The juror for the show was Sam Hendren, who has been studying and writing about contemporary crafts in America for 25 years. He served as the gallery director for the LPCA from 1996 to 2000 where he was instrumental in developing the North Gallery as a space for young and emerging new artists.

He has owned and operated three galleries over the last 25 years and currently, with his wife Denise, operates Moon Tree Design, which has garnered the much coveted “Top 100 Crafts Retailer in America” award.
