Ad’k Lakes Center for the Arts receives grant

BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE – The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts recently announced that they have been chosen as recipients of $150,000 grant from the New York State Council on the Arts as part of the REDC in support of expanding the existing Adirondack Lakes Summer Theatre Festival.

This money will support paying apprenticeships for local high school students, expanded marketing in the Capital and Central New York region and increased production budgets during the fourth season of the Adirondack Lakes Summer Theatre Festival.

This grant will also help fund the Arts Center’s year-round, full-time staff. The REDC grant also features a matching component that will be based on ticket sales, the AC Annual Fund and production expenses shared with the Redhouse, our sister art center in Syracuse.

In addition to the REDC, NYSCA has once again ranked the AC as the top multi-arts center in New York state, which led to an increase in General Operating Support from $31,000 to $44,000.
