SL girls lacrosse falls to Potsdam
POTSDAM – Seniors Kaleigh Woodruff and Kylie Sapone each scored twice for the Saranac Lake girls lacrosse team during Wednesday’s season-opening 8-5 loss to Potsdam.
Red Storm sophomore Katey Snyder held her own in goal with 14 saves. Rita Munn chipped in a goal and two assists, while Sheila Decker added an assist and had a strong game with faceoffs.
Michaela Cole and Nettie Rishe scored three goals apiece to pace Potsdam, which improved to 1-1 overall.
Wednesday’s game was a Northern Athletic Conference matchup.
Saranac Lake (0-1) is on the road again for its next game Friday against Salmon River.
