Lake Placid ER treated family after accident
To the editor:
Yesterday (Sunday) my family got into a car accident in the Wilmington Notch. First of all, I would like to thank the two men who stopped and helped us out, especially my sister. Thank God you were there at that time. Also our grandson Dustin, who kicked the back window out and got himself and his sister out, and who also called 911 – thank you, buddy; you were so brave, you took care of all of us girls. The ambulance people were extremely kind and understanding.
Now entering the hospital in Lake Placid there were kind and caring nurses who took very good care of us, who put their arms around my granddaughter and told her it was going to be OK. WIll urgent care do this! Will they show you that they care? Will they understand how scared and frightened you are? I have been to the urgent care; I will answer this for you! NO. Please keep our ER open. We all need it, not only for the locals but for the tourists who come here. Please, for the sake of all of our lives, keep our ER open.
Again, thank you to everyone who helped us.
