Cape Air flying as usual between Boston, Adirondacks
SARANAC LAKE – It’s business as usual for Cape Air flights between Boston and the the Adirondack Regional Airport in Lake Clear, even though the greater Boston area is largely locked down as authorities hunt a suspect in Monday’s Boston Marathon bombings.
Cape Air’s desk in Lake Clear reports that the company already had two planes depart today for Boston, at 6:30 and 11:10 a.m., and the rest are expected to proceed as scheduled.
Air passengers may have problems once they get to Boston, if that’s their final destination. Mass transportation to and from the city and suburbs was virtually shut down today as police conducted a massive manhunt.
“Everybody’s talking about it, obviously,” customer service agent Peter Wallace told the Enterprise, “but as far as we’re concerned, operations as normal.”
