Adirondack Carousel will host Armed Forces Appreciation Day Saturday
SARANAC LAKE – The Adirondack Carousel will host Armed Forces Appreciation Day and the Month of the Young Child Celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18.
The carousel is located in William Morris Park on Depot Street.
This event is sponsored by Price Chopper Golub Foundation and The Child Care Coordinating Council of the North Country.
On Saturday, the carousel will honor the United States Armed Forces and their families. The day will include musical entertainment by Steve Borst, educational programming, demonstrations and free Carousel rides for service families with their military I.D.
In addition, the Child Care Coordinating Council of the North Country will offer free rides for the community.
Demonstrations will include yoga, relaxation techniques, stress and acupuncture education for post traumatic stress disorder, massage, reflexology and the “new” Beemer technology.
Homeward Bound Adirondacks will offer an information and coffee booth.
The Adirondack Carousel is a non-profit, community center that features 24 hand-carved Adirondack animals.
