Ellis re-elected to state GFOA Board of Governors
ALBANY – The New York State Government Finance Officers’ Association Inc. has announced that Paul Ellis, treasurer for the village of Saranac Lake, was recently re-elected to the Association’s Board of Governors.
The election by the GFOA membership was conducted April 11 at the Association’s 34th annual conference at the Albany Marriott in Albany.
Ellis has been an active member of the NYS GFOA for the past three years and has served on the Board of Governors as an at-large representative for the Association’s Northeast Region since 2010.
The GFOA, founded in 1979, is a nonprofit professional association of 1,000 members statewide.
The mission of GFOA is to strengthen the capacity of government finance professionals to manage public finances effectively and responsibly and to use the collective knowledge and expertise of its members for the public benefit by enhancing government efficiency and accountability throughout New York State.
