Adirondack Wellness Network reaches out
To the editor:
A couple years ago, a visitor staying at a motel on Lake Flower saw the rack card for the Adirondack Wellness Guild. She arranged for a private yoga session next to the lake and later had a massage/zero-balancing session. Afterwards she said, “Saranac Lake is the strongest relaxation pill you could take!”
Consequently, the Adirondack Wellness Network is forming to promote our area as a health and wellness recreation destination. We believe that our healing past, present and future is grounded in the beauty of the Adirondack mountains and lakes.
With many paths to wellness, the Adirondack Wellness Network is organizing our first annual Adirondack Wellness Expo at the Adirondack Carousel in Saranac Lake on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food, exhibits, demonstrations and door prizes. This event is free and open to the public. If you would like to be an exhibitor, please contact Kelly before June 1 at email@example.com or by phone, 518-569-1399.
We were a sponsor for Daffest’s Zoom in Bloom and are a sponsor for the Adirondack Arts & Heritage Festival.
The Adirondack Wellness Network is a new group of independent practitioners from the Tri-Lakes region including Saranac Lake, Lake Clear, Lake Placid and Tupper Lake. Currently there are 18 members, and we are growing. Together we offer individuals and groups a variety of resources and retreat experiences.
The Adirondack Wellness Network usually meets the first Thursday of every month at noon at the Adirondack Carousel. For more information and to join our group, please visit www.adkwellness.org.
