Celebrating history: Museum Week — June 10-16

ALBANY – Museum Week is next week in New York.

From Monday to Sunday, June 10 to 16, museums throughout the state will offer special discounts, events, exhibits and promotions to encourage people to visit.

The I Love NY website, “http://www.iloveny.com”>www.iloveny.com, features complete lists of participating museums and their discounts and events.

That includes an “Adirondacks” section with 16 museums in and around the Adirondack Park. Among those are four in the Tri-Lakes area: the Lake Placid Olympic Museum, the Lake Placid-North Elba Historical Society, the Saranac Laboratory Museum in Saranac Lake and The Wild Center in Tupper Lake.

Below are listed the 16 “Adirondacks” museums, along with their discounts and special events for Museum Week.
