ADK presents ‘Natural History of Black Bears’
LAKE PLACID – The Adirondack Mountain Club will present a special program, “Natural History of Black Bears at 8 p.m. at ADK’s High Peaks Information Center, located at Heart Lake in Lake Placid.
DEC Wildlife Technician Ben Tabor will host an exploration of New York’s black bear population. The bear evokes fear, wonder, and awe in those who encounter it, but do people fully understand this complex animal? Find out more about the bears of the Adirondack Park. He will talk about the life cycle, behaviors, and habitats of bears. He will also teach about how to live conflict free in bear country.
This presentation is free and open to the public.
