Massena rafter’s body found in Hudson River
LAKE LUZERNE (AP) – State police say the body of one of two men who went missing in northern New York rivers over the weekend has been found.
They say workers at a hydroelectric plant found the body of 42-year-old Brian Cromie of Massena at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
He’d been missing since being washed off a small raft while riding rapids at a waterfall on the Hudson River in the Warren County town of Lake Luzerne on Sunday.
In Washington County, police divers hadn’t found any sign of 39-year-old Richard Kelley of Whitehall as of late Tuesday. He was swept underwater while swimming in the Mettawee River with his family Saturday.
