Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Days event schedule

TUPPER LAKE – The annual Woodsmen’s Days will be held at the Municipal Park on Demars Boulevard.

2013 theme: ‘A Blast from the Past’

All day Saturday and Sunday: Logging and Equipment Demos, various locations, kids’ events, various locations, exhibits and concessions

Friday, July 12

6:30 p.m.: Welcome Dinner & Dance: Knights of Columbus Hall High Street with music by Bitter Sweet

Saturday, July 13

7:30 a.m.: Chainsaw Safety and Awareness Training Program (fee -?open to public, register morning of or by email) earn CEU’s for Logger Certification for the Sustainable Forestry Initiative

10 a.m.: Annual Woodsmen’s Day Parade, Park Street to Municipal Park

“A Blast from the Past” Celebrating 30 Years of the Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Association

11 a.m.: Men & Women’s Competition, Grandstand Area

Noon: Official Opening Ceremonies, Grandstand Area

12:30 p.m.: Chainsaw Carving Contest -?60 min. Quick-Carve, Outfield Pavilion [Auction to follow]

Loading Operator Contest, Heavy Equipment Area [following auction]

4 Man Team Competition

4:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Registration for Night Games, Main Office/Information Booth

7:30 p.m.: Night games: Tug-of-War, Greased Pole Climb, and others, Grandstand Area
