Local artists display their talents at the Saranac Lake farmers market
SARANAC LAKE – This season, the Saranac Lake Farmers Market will host Saranac Lake ArtWorks at its community tent once each month, on July 27, Aug. 10, and Sept. 21.
Artists at the tent will be showing their techniques, from calligraphy to printmaking to watercolor painting. The community is invited to see how artists make their magic and to learn more about the Arts in Saranac Lake.
On Saturday, three ArtWorks members will be sharing the tent. Matt Paul will be doing a graphite drawing portrait of his dad. He will be working from a photograph that he took, but his dad, Mark Paul, will be there in person too! Mark will be carving using traditional wood carving tools to create small wizard faces.
Maria DeAngelo will be working on some stipple drawings of nature subjects. She will be stippling in the values and using watercolor washes over the drawings.
Saranac Lake ArtWorks is an organization of more than 40 local artists who work together to market our work, to make our art businesses more profitable, and to share the Arts with our community.
