Live ’N’ Local Music Fest Saturday at LPCA
- LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will host a Live ‘N’ Local Music Fest featuring three great local bands on Saturday.
… And Then Bang, Spring Street, and Larry Stone and the Stone Ground Express will offer up their distinct sounds starting at 8 p.m.. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of show. Contact the LPCA Box Office at 518-523-2512 or purchase online at: www.LakePlacidArts.org.
About the bands:
… And Then Bang provides an atypical dance beat to the typical local dive bar with rock and roll sensibilities, freshmoric lyrics, and a fairly cute boy charm. The group consists of: Jason Stoltz on bass, Mike Korpan on guitar, Ryan Trumbell on drums, and Josh “Hendy” Henderson rockin’ the mic.
Spring Street offers up aunique mix of rock, country, bluegrass, blues and strong vocal harmonies. The band features the vocals of Val Rogers, Bill Billerman on lead and backing vocals, mandolin, electric and slide guitar, Mick Changelo on bass, string bass, and Ed Schaum on lead guitar and backing vocals.
Artists Spring Street performs are as follows: Adele, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doobie Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Tom Petty, Yes, Dire Straits, Foo Fighters, Allman Bros, Susan Tedeschi, Joni Mitchell, 10,000 Maniacs, Joan Osborne, Traveling Wilburys, Eric Clapton and many more.
Larry Stone and the Stone Ground Express plays country rock and blues for dancing. About his music Larry states: “… a mix of country blues, blues, American Roots music.
