Morning Sun and the Essentials perform Tuesday

LAKE PLACID – The Pines Inn Songs at Mirror Lake Music Series presented by Adirondack “By Owner” will host Reggae Night with Morning Sun and The Essentials at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6at Mid’s Park on Main Street, Lake Placid.

Morning Sun and The Essentials aims to create innovative yet classic sounding reggae and world music. The challenge was finding the right dynamic between the two distinct voices of Michel Aubertin and Phil Grajko.

Morning Sun and The Essentials is making a name for themselves in the contemporary reggae, rock, folk, and hip-hop scene with an album with Grammy nominated rapper/songwriter Kinetics is set to release this summer.

Their debut EP, “Love Agenda” was released for free download on in December 2011 and was widely received by music lovers worldwide, even gaining the attention of some reggae legends. Jerry Johnson and Num H.S. Amun’Tehu, Grammy winning artists from Steel Pulse and Burning Spear, respectively, showed their appreciation for the music, getting involved with MS+TE creatively.
