New Adirondack Park Agency members introduced

RAY BROOK – A trio of new state Adirondack Park Agency board members were introduced by agency Chairwoman Lani Ulrich at Thursday’s monthly meeting.

In June, the state Senate confirmed Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s nomination of Karen Feldman and Daniel Wilt to the APA board. The Senate also confirmed Ulrich’s reappointment as the agency’s chairwoman, a position she’s held since November 2011, and the reappointment of commissioners Art Lussi of Lake Placid and Bill Thomas of Johnsburg.

Feldman and Wilt replace two veteran APA commissioners. Feldman, a political consultant who lives in Hudson and has camps in Schroon Lake and Hamilton County, has taken the out-of-Park seat held by Cecil Wray, a New York City attorney who stepped down in June after 14 years on the agency board. Wilt, the owner of Wilt Industries in Lake Pleasant, replaces former Lake Pleasant supervisor Frank Mezzano, who had been on the board for 15 years in two different stints.

Bradley Austin was also welcomed to the APA board Thursday, representing Empire State Development Commissioner Ken Adams. Austin is the director of state legislative affairs for the Department of Economic Development and the Urban Development Corporation.
