Denise Lester, 58, of 60 Church St., Saranac Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at the Adirondack Medical Center.
Born in Saranac Lake on Jan. 4, 1955, she was the daughter of Francis “Frenchie” and Charlotte (Hull) Gladd.
Denise had been employed at various area businesses in Saranac Lake including Grossmans, Tri-Lake Humane Society for more than 12 years and Citizens Advocates for several years. Denise enjoyed making jewelry, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren more than anything.
She is survived by one son, Daniel Lester of Saranac Lake; one daughter, Angela Howard and her husband Collin of Saranac Lake; her mother, Charlotte Gladd of Saranac Lake; three grandchildren: Ashlyn and Zyler Howard and Dylan Bordeau, all of Saranac Lake; and her former husband Steven Lester of Saranac Lake.
Calling hours will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Grey officiating.
