OkTupperfest Saturday

TUPPER LAKE – The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the biggest celebration of the fall, the annual OkTupperfest, which will be held Saturday at Big Tupper Ski Area.

This year’s OkTupperfest will kick off at 11 a.m. with a lineup that includes live music, beer, food, free chair lift rides, children’s activities, a craft fair and more.

During this year’s OkTupperfest, the fourth annual OkTupperfest Mud Run will also take place starting at noon. Participants will get to finish their running season in a race up the muddy terrain of Big Tupper Ski Area.

Following the race, live music will begin with Big Slyde and will continue with The Unknown Woodsmen from 4 to 6 p.m.

New in 2013, OkTupperfest will feature The Kenda Mountain Bike Stunt Show, featuring professional Mountain Bike Rider, Mike Steidley.

Steidley is one of the most accomplished stunt riders in North America. His accolades include multiple Trails National Championships, representing the USA in 7 World Championship as well as a wide array of TV appearance. His stunt show has captivated audiences in 23 different countries.

Proceeds from The 2013 OkTupperfest will go to support winter recreation and tourism in Tupper Lake.
