Egglefield Ford raises funds for patients and residents
The staff at Adirondack Health certainly has a lot of drive.
Thanks to Egglefield Ford and Ford’s Drive 4 UR Community event, $6,000 was raised to enhance patient and resident programs for Adirondack Health.
Egglefield Ford invited Adirondack Health staff to test drive one of four Ford models. In return, Ford donated $20 for each test drive around the Adirondack Medical Center campus in Saranac Lake. Thanks to the strong turnout from community and staff, Adirondack Health raised the maximum limit of $6,000. In addition to Adirondack Health, a similar event was held at Elizabethtown Community Hospital.
“Twenty dollars doesn’t sound like much and not many of these events raise the maximum, but these communities and the staff of these two organizations are heroes in my book,” said Cory Egglefield, general manager of High Peaks Ford. “The audit is in and both events took it all the way! That’s $12,000 for two organizations whose survival is critical to our towns.”
Hannah Hanford, Executive Director of the Adirondack Health Foundation, took the lead in organizing the event at AMC. “Thanks to everyone who took the time to test drive a Ford,” Hanford remarked. “That such a simple act was able to raise these funds for the patients and residents of Adirondack Health is a testament to the generosity of our staff and community.”
Egglefield Ford has been serving the North Country for 103 years, and is proud of its customers and friends for the enthusiasm and involvement they showed in support of this fundraiser.
