State gives museum $1M for walkway
TUPPER LAKE (AP) – The Wild Center will receive $1 million from the state to create a walkway.
The Wild Center in Tupper Lake is getting the money to install five timber towers of differing heights to carry a network of structures that will include rope nets and viewing platforms.
The Wild Walk will be used for recreation and science education at the not-for-profit center.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the money is coming from the second round of the Regional Council initiative at the request of the North Country Regional Economic Development Council.
