‘Family Upcycling’ workshop
BluSeed Studios will offer “Family Upcycling,” a new workshop for parents, relatives or caregivers to take with their children from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Stephanie DeJoseph, independent designer and artist of La Mia Designs, will teach this creative and innovative workshop.
As a family, reform a furniture piece or home accessory into something that will change the perspective. Repurpose, Recycle and Create!
Each family is asked to bring one old tired household item that can be repurposed i.e. small furniture, lamp, etc.
DeJoseph is the founder of La Mia Designs, a small independent business that creates handcrafted items such as artwork, photographic images, handbags, jewelry and home accent pieces. La Mia strives to produce exciting products and services by adding detailed handwork into each piece and takes pride in being an environmentally friendly company, minimizing waste by repurposing old and vintage items such as fabrics, clothing, beads, jewelry, furniture and building materials.
La Mia products can be found in various boutiques and galleries in Northern New York and online.
To take advantage of this great opportunity to repurpose a household item with your children, register by calling 518-891-3799 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cost is $100 per family.
