Consider joining Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3357, Saranac Lake, is actively recruiting new members.
Eligibility to the Ladies Auxiliary is open to wives, widows, mothers, foster and stepmothers (who have performed the duties of parent), grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters, foster and stepdaughters (who attained that status prior to the age of 16 and for whom the duties of parent were performed), sisters, half-sisters, foster and stepsisters (who attained that status prior to the age of 16) of persons who were eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Members must be citizens of the United States and not less than 16 years old.
Women eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall be eligible for dual membership in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Auxiliary members receive all sorts of rewards from their memberships – from lifelong friendships and organizational skill to insurance policies, travel discounts and credit union memberships. (www.nc.ladiesauxvfw.org)
The Ladies Auxiliary of Post 3357 is busy throughout the year supporting our local VFW and our community by hosting the Veterans Day luncheon, providing a community children’s Christmas party, running a Winter Raffle in February, participating in the Memorial Day parade and celebration, giving a high school scholarship every June, planting spring flowers in the community, running a poppy fund drive, organizing the cellphone collection for soldiers and participating in the youth program and backpack program.
Please consider joining our organization to help our volunteer efforts, to meet new friends and to support and help our local veterans by attending the Veterans Day ceremony and luncheon and picking up our application forms.
