Donah, LeBlanc keep Tupper Lake village seats
TUPPER LAKE – Incumbents Rick Donah and Leon LeBlanc will resume their roles as village trustees.
Their two-year seats were challenged by Tupper Lake resident John LaMora, who told the Enterprise he was mounting a write-in campaign four days before Election Day. LaMora wasn’t endorsed by the Democratic caucus here.
Donah received 550 votes and LeBlanc received 542 votes. Both are Republicans. There were 16 write-in votes, but election officials haven’t yet said whom they were for.
Village Mayor and Franklin County Legislator Paul Maroun, who was endorsed by both the Democratic and Republican parties, will begin another term for both of those positions. There were also 12 write-in votes for mayor and nine for legislator; again, names weren’t available.
Chris Delair will assume the role of town justice, replacing Leonard Young.
