Owens hosts telephone town hall
WASHINGTON – Rep. Bill Owens will hold a telephone town hall from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in a continued effort to hear from constituents across the more than 16,000 square miles of New York’s 21st Congressional District.
Owens will give a quick update on the economy and his recent activities in the district during the November district work period.
“The most important thing I can do as a member of Congress is listen to my constituents’ concerns and ideas,” Owens said. “Telephone town halls are a great way to connect constituents from our expansive district and give them a chance to ask questions and voice their opinions. I look forward to speaking with all in attendance and encourage all who are able to participate.”
A random sample of residents in the district will receive an invitation by phone to participate in the conference call. All constituents can request to participate in the town hall by:
-Emailing their name and phone number to email@example.com;
-Calling Owen’s Washington office at 202-225-4611; or
-Filling out the form at owens.house.gov/contact/teletownhall.htm
Those unable to participate can send questions or concerns to Owens by calling any of his offices in New York or Washington or by visiting owens.house.gov. Constituents can also connect with Owens on Facebook at www.facebook.com/repbillowens and on Twitter at www.twitter.com/BillOwensNY.
