Humbled and inspired by support

To the editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who got out to vote in the town and county elections on Nov. 5. The right to vote is an important and powerful privilege, and it was wonderful to see so many people exercise this right in an “off year” election.

The support and encouragement I received throughout my campaign was both humbling and inspiring. It was great to connect with so many of you during my door-to-door campaign as well as on my Facebook page. It is this interaction that makes running for local office so rewarding. Please be assured that I have listened to your concerns, ideas and advice, and I will use what you have told me to guide and motivate my work as a county legislator.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank both Ed Randig and Curt Reynolds for stepping up and making sure the voters in District 7 had a choice. I have had the privilege of knowing both of them for a very long time, and my respect for them has only grown throughout this process. I hope to see both their names on the ballot in upcoming elections as they have much to offer our community.

I am excited and anxious to begin my term, and I am incredibly proud to represent the people of the towns of Franklin and Harrietstown. These are challenging times, but they are also times of great opportunity, and I will work diligently to represent the taxpayers of my district and to live up to my campaign promises.

Thank you for placing your trust in me, and please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am here to serve you.
