Adirondack Singers’ annual holiday concert Sunday

SARANAC LAKE – The Adirondack Singers will be performing their annual Winter Holiday Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.

The Adirondack Singers is a local community choir with members from the Tri-Lakes and surrounding areas.

Karen Butters returns as director of the Singers.

Some of the highlights are Eric Whitacre’s “Lux Aurumque,” new musical settings of some old texts such as, “Gaudete,” “O Magnum Mysterium” and “Et In Terra Pax.”

For the child in us all, the Singers will perform “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” and for fun, there’s a doo-wop holiday piece, reminiscent of “Slow Rockin’ Christmas!”

The suggested donation for the concert is $5 for adults or $3 for students and senior citizens.
