Enterprise should not use addicts’ mugshots

To the editor:

Again, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise posts pictures of unfortunate victims of addiction’s disease on the front page. These articles do not affect the “criminal” as much as they affect the families of our community. Shamelessly, you (the Enterprise) post the mugshots as you follow up on their court convictions.

One day one of your family members will be touched by this disease, and then, maybe then, you will think twice about posting your loved one’s picture for all to see and judge.

The individuals suffering from addiction disease and the general public deserve more understanding than your newspaper affords them.
