Bobcats scratch out bowling victory

SARANAC LAKE – The Paul Smith’s College bowling team hosted SUNY Adirondack on Tuesday at Romano’s Saranac Lanes.

The Bobcats scratched out a 2,514 pins to 2,407 pins victory, with each of the five bowlers rolling three games.

Jason Duryea was Paul Smith’s top bowler with a 551 series. He rolled a 162 in his first game, a 174 in the second and a 215 in the third. Teammate David Hejna bowled a 517 and Chris Harloft turned in a 511.

SUNY Adirondack’s Matt Seymour had the high game and high series of the match. He rolled a 221 in his second game and finished with a 559 total score.

It was the first time Romano’s hosted a college bowling meet.
