Tupper chamber to host winter social Friday
TUPPER LAKE – The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce will host a winter social from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Great Hall of The Wild Center.
The public is invited to ask the chamber board of directors questions about its events and activities as well as the proposed destination marketing initiative.
At 7 p.m., Garry Douglas, president of the North Country Chamber of Commerce, will discuss why a chamber of commerce is important to the community and the role it serves, and how the Tupper Lake chamber ties into the North Country chamber.
Following Douglas’ presentation, Tupper Lake chamber President Adam Boudreau will highlight 2014 chamber events and initiatives and discuss the destination marketing recently proposed to the town and village boards.
A cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
