Pee Wee hockey team holds fundraisers for tournament travel

SARANAC LAKE – The Saranac Lake Pee Wee hockey team qualified for the state championship tournament in Amherst, near Buffalo, and will host fundraisers this weekend to offset the travel costs.

There will be a Bucket “Skate” Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Kids will be standing outside some local businesses to collect donations in their skates.

There will also be a spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Bernard’s School. Cost will be $5 per plate for kids 12 and under and $7 for adults.

Eat-in and take-out meals are available. There will be a raffle basket, Mount Pisgah tubing passes and an Olympic Passport to raffle off at the dinner.
