Domestic dispute leads to multiple arrests

Ray Brook-based state police arrested two people, including a woman who was charged with drunk driving twice in less than an hour, after responding to a domestic dispute in Bloomingdale Friday night.

Vincent E. Pelletieri, 51, of Saranac Lake, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 8:20 p.m.

Police said he entered a residence without the owner’s permission and got into a confrontation with another man who suffered minor injuries during the dispute.

Pelletieri was processed and released on cash bail.

Police said Michelle M. St. Amand, 33, of Bloomingdale, drove to Troop B headquarters in Ray Brook to file a complaint about the incident. When she arrived at the station, police said she was intoxicated.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent and unlawful possession of marijuana at 11:48 p.m. St. Amand was then released on appearance tickets for town of North Elba court.

Police say she then left the station and came back less than an hour later to get her car. She drove away but was pulled over on Morris Way in Saranac Lake and charged, for a second time, with DWI and operating with a BAC greater than 0.08 percent.

St. Amand was processed and sent to the Franklin County Jail. Police didn’t list what amount of bail she was being held on.
