Fill out survey on broadband

To the editor:

We would like to encouarge all eligible property owners in the towns of Franklin and Harrietstown to fill out the broadband survey available online, by phone or in paper form before the March 14 deadline.

A minute or two is truly all it will take to complete it, and the information you provide will be invaluable in our quest to bring quality Internet service to all our residents. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard.

High-quality broadband service is essential for our existing businesses and for attracting new business. In addition, the children in our school district deserve to have access to high-speed Internet at home to both further their education and to give them a level playing field in this highly competitive world.

If you are sick of your slow, expensive, outdated Internet service or don’t have access to the Internet, now is the time to demand better for yourself and your children. As an added incentive for completing the survey and providing us with your information, you will be entered into a drawing to win a round-trip ticket to Boston on Cape Air!

Property owners in the town of Harrietstown outside of the village are elibible to take the survey and can go to to complete it online. Property owners within the village are not eligible because they are not considered to be “underserved.”

All property owners in the town of Franklin are eligible to take the survey and can go to

If you prefer, you can also complete the phone survey by calling 518-882-4047, or you can fill out a paper copy at the Harrietstown Town Hall, the Franklin Town Hall or the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.

Thank you for helping us in our quest to expand and enhance this vital and essential service in our communities.
