Amell will remain St. Joe’s director of outpatient services

SARANAC LAKE – St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers recently announced that the Agency’s interim director of outpatient services, Bryan Amell, has been appointed permanent director of outpatient services.

Amell has been with St. Joseph’s for 17 years, beginning his career as a counselor in Training at St. Joseph’s Inpatient facility in Saranac Lake in 1997.

He joined St. Joseph’s Tupper Lake Outpatient team in 2000, and advanced to the position of program coordinator at Mountain Lake Academy in 2006.

Four years later, he was promoted to deputy director of outpatient services.

Amell’s primary goal in his new position will be to “provide the highest quality of addiction treatment services to those in need throughout the community, particularly those facing financial, transportation, and other barriers to receiving care.”

“Bryan brings his longstanding commitment to supporting individuals and their families suffering from addiction, his passion for assisting his colleagues in the development of their potential, and his excellent sense of humor to his new responsibilities,” St. Joseph’s CEO Bob Ross said.
