Laba elected to AHDC board of directors
SARANAC LAKE – Robert J. Laba, a financial analyst at Adirondack Health, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Adirondack Housing Development Corporation
Laba has worked at Adirondack Health for 18 months. His major areas of responsibility include financial statement preparation and analysis budgeting; not-for-profit tax return preparation and management of year-end audits conducted by external accounting firms. Prior to working at Adirondack Health, Laba was employed by the American Management Association as a staff accountant, accountant, and senior accountant.
In addition to his work at the hospital, Laba is a board member of the Adirondack Wind Ensemble and treasurer of the Petrova Parents Club. He, his wife, and son live in Saranac Lake.
AHDC’s mission is to provide, on a non-profit basis, decent affordable housing and related community services and facilities to meet the needs and requirements of low income families and individuals by developing and improving rental housing and home ownership opportunities.
AHDC manages the Helen Hill Apartments on Front and Helen streets in the village of Saranac Lake.
