Fundraisers to be held for Tupper archers headed to nationals
TUPPER LAKE – Tupper Lake Middle-High School recently participated in the New York National Archery in the Schools tournament.
Brionna Staves, a three-time qualifier and new place finisher, and Andrew Trudeau are among top archers in New York state.
Staves’ second-place finish in the high school female division and Trudeau’s fourth-place finish in the middle school male division qualify them for the NASP Tournament to be held May 7-10 in Louisville, Ky.
With the support of family and friends they are fundraising for their trip. Donations can be made on the students’ behalf to the Tupper Lake Archers, P.O. Box 752, Tupper Lake, NY 12986. The following fundraising events are planned as well, with proceeds to benefit the trip:
-On Sunday, March 23 and Saturday, March 29, there will be an “Adult Learn to Shoot” opportunity held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for one hour intervals at the Tupper Lake Rod & Gun Club indoor archery range on Lake Simond Road.
