Many thanks after death of loved one
To the editor:
The Stunzi family wishes to express our sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support we have received as we’ve mourned the loss of our husband and father, Albert.
We greatly appreciate all of your kind words, the beautiful cards and flowers, the donations of food and time to our family, and the generous donations to the Saranac Lake High School Music Department. It’s been comforting to hear your “Al stories” that span more than 60 years, and we realize how blessed we are to have such wonderful friends.
Thank you to the medical staff at Adirondack Medical Center, the hospice caregivers and Dr. Jay Federman for providing Albert with the best care possible and personal attention that went beyond the call of duty, to the Elks Club and Lakeview Deli for catering to every detail and providing an effortless gathering for us. We are especially grateful to the loving people of St. Bernard’s Church and the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home: Father Mark Reilly, along with Fathers McAvoy, Yonkovig and Meunch, for officiating a heartfelt Mass, to Jessica Deeb and Jenny Frenette for assembling a heavenly choir on short notice (you were all amazing, and it was exactly what Al loved), to Brendan Keough for professionally directing every moment, and to all Albert’s grandchildren who participated in the services for combining to make Al’s services the most beautiful farewell we have ever seen. Thank you all for helping to make this difficult time easier.
