Health program is free for veterans

The Purple Heart Veterans of Florida Inc., a subsidiary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Florida, recently announced the Veterans Assistance Program that will benefit all veterans with service-connected disabilities who are also in economic need.

Veterans will be able to participate free of charge in the program that is specifically designed to improve quality of life naturally without the use of drugs or pharmaceuticals, specifically in the areas of pain management, combat-related stress and sleep disorders.

This program is made possible through a large donation to PHVFL by a private-sector global (United States-based) health technology company.

For more information, call Earl McMillan, treasurer, PHVFL, 813-782-3425; Commander Richard Hunt, MOPH, Department of Florida, PHVFL, 407-579-6190; or Thomas Burke, ambassador, PHVFL, 561-839-6100.
