Adirondack Wellness Summit is May 13
LAKE CLEAR – A summit on a new, worldwide growth trend for businesses or communities will be held Tuesday, May 13 at the Lake Clear Lodge and Retreat.
The Adirondack Wellness Summit will have two themes: increasing the Adirondacks’ role as a wellness travel destination, and furthering the region as a healing center.
Wellness travel is growing worldwide, summit organizers say. It involves not only practitioners but related wellness activities including outdoor recreation, local food and culture.
A related theme will be furthering the region as a healing center. One of the key topics is whether the region can leverage current wellness efforts to further its role as a wellness center where professionals, families, veterans and others come to its “healing woods” for coordinated programs and activities.
The Wellness Summit will be a series of interactive workshops with featured speakers and panel discussions as well as networking opportunities.
The keynote speaker will be Camille Hoheb, CEO and founding director of Wellness Travel World-wide.
A host of organizations are partnering to develop an Adirondack Small Business Week from May 12 to 16, spearheaded by the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. The Adirondack celebration is in recognition of National Small Business Week.
Advanced registration is $15.
