D.C. insider

To the editor:

As far as I’m concerned, the only issue that matters in this race is who will create the jobs we need to have a better future in the North Country.

The choice is between Matt Doheny, a local businessman who grew up and is raising a family in the North Country, or Elise Stefanik, a 29-year-old Republican operative who moved to the district last August. Matt is someone who has real-world experience turning around distressed companies while Elise Stefanik’s only true experience is working in politics.

While I can respect Ms. Stefanik’s drive and ambition, Matt Doheny is the only candidate who is from the district and has the know-how to create jobs. The North Country needs Matt’s skills, experience and willingness to grow the economy of New York’s 21st Congressional District.

In my mind the choice is simple and clear. We need someone from outside D.C. to fix what has been broken by D.C. The North Country does not need nor deserve another insider. That’s why I am voting for Matt Doheny on Primary Day, June 24. The polls are open from noon to 9 p.m.
