LPCA hosts ‘Avenue Q’ play Friday, Saturday

LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will host the Tony Award inning musical “Avenue Q” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

The show integrates human actors with felt puppets to tell the story of a recent college graduate who moves to New York with big dreams and no money.

“Avenue Q” features music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a book by Jeff Whitty, based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx. Despite featuring puppets, the musical contains adult content and language and is not appropriate for children.
