Boat washing too expensive for taxpayers

To the editor:

For some reason I can’t access the comment section for the readers’ poll. So without further ado, at what cost to the taxpayers? Most of the present state launch sites do not have running water or even electricity. And are we going to have to pay an attendant to be on wash duty for all the hours that the launches are open? If you stand back and think about all the “local” state boat launches, you wouldn’t be so quick to answer yes to this question.

Most boat owners are aware of the invasive species problem and take care to rinse their boats after use. This is just one more regulation we do not need.
