St. Armand wayside exhibit work day

To the editor:

On June 7, the town of St. Armand hosted a volunteer work day to create a wayside exhibit entitled “Patriots of St. Armand.” The exhibit will be located at Veterans Memorial Park in the center of Bloomingdale. The event was a great success, and much was accomplished. This project is ongoing and, when complete, will be a beautiful space for residents and visitors to enjoy Veterans Memorial Park.

I would like to say “thank you” to a great many people who have assisted with this project: Judge Sheridan Swinyer, Ollie Burgess and the crew of Specialty Wood Products, Bob Bayruns and the crew at Coakley High Peaks Ace Hardware, Dave Nester and the crew of Curtis Lumber, Jackie Moody and Moody Tree Farms, Steve Neiderbuhl and Neiderbuhl Tree Service, Joe and Cheri Fisher, Art Neiderbuhl and Norman’s Store, Joe Dierna and The Bloomin’ Market, Price Chopper of Lake Placid, Gail Bombard, Don Amell, Doug Egeland, Keith Bordeau, Robert Drosdowich, Roger Oliver, David Filsinger, Scott Winemiller, Roger Willette Sr. and Charlie and Franca Whitson.

The spirit of the Adirondacks lives on in our towns and the generous and caring people who live here. Thank you all for your help. This project would not be possible without your assistance.

Best regards,
