The Greeneshow Open
To the editor:
I would like to thank everyone that participated in the Greeneshow Open. The weather was a little brisk, but it turned out to be a great, fun-filled day for a round of golf at the Craig Wood Golf Course in memory of Aaron Greene. A sincere thank-you for all the help that we received at the golf course! It was a huge success!
Through the generosity of all the businesses, golf teams, sponsors, friends and family in the Lake Placid community, we were able to provide two Lake Placid High School scholarships again this year. I believe our scholarships help contribute to a better future for our recipients.
Thank you, Lisa and Nick at WiseGuys, for putting on a great buffet after the tournament. Thank you to Heather at the Alpine Air for the hospitality. Thank you to Mark at Adirondack Awards for the great T-shirts, Koozie cups and golf tees; they were a hit! A thank-you goes out to Jamie and Joe for helping with the beautiful sponsorship signs. A special thank-you to my son, Brad, whom I could not have done this without. We could not have achieved this without the community’s support, and I am truly thankful!
I cannot begin to express my gratitude to everyone who helped keep Aaron’s memory and spirit alive through this event. As a family, this outing has been a tremendous help in our grieving and healing process.
Whether you are a golfer, hole sponsor, door prize contributor or volunteer, I truly appreciate your generosity for this event. The golf outing this year was absolutely awesome, and the love and support our family received that day was overwhelming.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me keep the spirit of Aaron alive.
Hope to see you next year at the Craig Wood Golf Course on June 13, 2015!
