Skateboard park work to begin
SARANAC LAKE – Site preparation work on the village skateboard park is expected to begin today.
Village Department of Public Works Superintendent Jeff Dora said in an email that the village parking lot behind Community Bank, between Broadway and Church Street will be open but with limited parking spaces available. The skateboard park will occupy half of the parking lot, on the side closest to the Enterprise.
“The public is cautioned that there will be increased truck traffic coming out of the parking lot onto Church Street between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday,” Dora said in the email.
Meanwhile, a section of Olive street will be closed, beginning Tuesday and running through Aug. 19, as village crews replace a sewer main. The road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will reopen over the weekend, Dora said.
