Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Scott
Elizabeth “Betty” Scott, 86, of Paul Smiths, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014.
She was born on March 26, 1928, to the late Theresa and Harry Thole of Brooklyn. Elizabeth attended Midwood High School in Brooklyn and graduated from Centenary College of New Jersey. She married her childhood friend and love of her life for 83 years, Robert Scott.
In retirement, Elizabeth was a volunteer at the Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretive Center in Paul Smiths, specializing in the Buttterfly House education program. She also participated in the yearly Osgood Pond loon count and invasive species watch programs.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters: Terri Keller of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Katherine McDaniel of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren in Arizona.

A memorial service celebrating Elizabeth will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Scott’s residence.
