Stormin’ the Course at SLHS
SARANAC LAKE – The second annual Stormin’ the Course Trail Run took place Saturday, Aug. 9 at Saranac Lake High School, with 33 athletes participating. The event was a fundraiser for the Saranac Lake cross country program.
Anderson Gray was the top finisher in the 2.9-mile race on the high school cross country course, finishing in 20:02. Jecinda Hughes was the top female at the distance with a time of 23:07.
Saranac Lake graduate Sam Racette was the first to cross the finish line in the 10-kilometer run with a time of 44:57. His brother DJ was second in 45:40.
Katja Mohrs won the women’s 10k race in 58:59, followed by Kathleen Lanzer in second with a 1:07:54 and Sheri Eaton in third with a 1:10:11.
Maria DeAngelo was the top walker after clocking a time of 36:11 over the 2.9-mile course.
