LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at 2519 Main St. The cause of the alarm was due to burnt food, and no action was needed. They were back in service at 2:16 p.m.

LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department responded at 8:30 p.m. Saturday to a power line that arched on Edgley Way. There was a tree rubbing against the power line. One truck and four members responded, and they waited on scene until the tree was cleared. They were back in service at 9:18 p.m.

LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department responded to carbon monoxide alarm activation at 6 p.m. Sunday at 171 Mill Pond Drive. One truck and five members were on the scene. It was determined to be a false alarm, and no action was needed. They were back in service at 6:17 p.m.
